Talluri Rameshwari (also known as Rameshwari) is an Indian actress.
Early life[edit]
Shah Rukh Khan (pronounced ˈʃaːɦrʊx xaːn; born 2 November 1965), also known by the initialism SRK, is an Indian actor, film producer, and television personality. Referred to in the media as the 'Baadshah of Bollywood' (in reference to his 1999 film Baadshah), 'King of Bollywood' and 'King Khan', he has appeared in more than 80 Hindi films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14. Chandrakanta is an Indian fantasy television series partly based on Devaki Nandan Khatri's 1888 novel of the same name. It was originally telecast on DD National between 1994 and 1996, and was created, written, produced, and directed by Nirja Guleri. Ali Asgar is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian. He has appeared in many Indian TV serials and movies. Asgar appeared as Kamal Agarwal in Star Plus TV show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki.
She was born and raised in Andhra Pradesh and spent her childhood in Kakinada. She is the younger of two sisters. She was beautiful even as a schoolgirl with a resemblance to veteran Hindi actress Rajshree (V. Shantaram's daughter).
Career[edit]
Rameshwari graduated from FTII in 1975. She got her big break in 1977 with Rajshri's Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye. The movie turned was a phenomenal hit and made her a household name. In 1978 she played the title role K. Vishwanath's Seetamalakshmi (Telugu) for which she received the Nandi Award for Best actress.[1] Some of her other notable films include Sunayana with Naseeruddin Shah, Mera Rakshak with Mithun, and Sharda and Aasha with Jeetendra. The latter earned her a Filmfare Nomination as Best Supporting Actress.[2] In addition to Hindi and Telugu she has also acted in Odia and Malayalam movies.
Personal life[edit]
Rameshwari married her FTII classmate and pal, Punjabi actor-producer Deepak Seth and has two sons Bhaskara Pratap Seth and Surya Prem Seth. She took a sabbatical from acting to raise her children and returned to acting in the 2000s playing mature roles.[3] She and her husband produced a Hindi film titled Hum Farishte Nahin (1988) and a Punjabi film titled Mein Tuun Assin Tussin (2007) based on the Shakespeare play The Comedy of Errors.[4] Lately, she has been working in television series.
